What is an engagement session?

Engagement sessions are a great way for you as a couple to get to know me as a person and my photography style. On your special day, we will be spending most of it together, starting from getting ready all the way till the last dance. Engagement sessions also help you to get a little more comfortable around me. It is also a great oppurtunity to get pictures for your Save the Date invitations and wedding announcements. Also if you book me as your photographer I use a picture from our session as your picture for custom gallery cards.

Why dont you include an engagement session in your wedding packages?

An engagement session is included in all my packages. This option is more suited for those couples that may have a friend that is out of town photographing their weddings, but they want to get engagement pictures done so they can use them for sending out save the date and wedding invitations..

What is your style?

I shoot in a photojournalistic style. I do pose couples every so often when I see a shot that I do not want to miss. But other then that I am very laid back and capture pictures as you interact with one another.

How long is the photoshoot? Max amount of outfit changes?

Generally I do not set a time limit on how long we shoot, or how many outfit changes you are allowed as long as it is reasonable. The reason for this is I know that sometimes you just can't decide what to wear, so you want multiple options. I am okay with that. I know sometimes it takes couples a little time to warm up to having a photographer with them, so I allow for that as well. I will call it a day when I feel we have a good amount of awesome pictures, and you feel comfortable with me.

How long till we get to see our pictures? How do we get them?

Generally I have them online in a public or private gallery within 2-4 weeks. I get them to you via digital download.

Do we come to you or you come to us?

I love traveling and I do not mind taking a little trip to meet you at your favorite spot where you want to take photographs. I do generally offer free travel if it is within a 2 hour drive of the greater Sacramento area. If it is further then that, then it would be a case by case judgement.

What if we change our minds and choose you as the photographer, can the amount paid go towards our total?

Absolutely! I love photographing weddings and I know that they can get pretty pricey, so I am more then willing to put the money that you paid for your engagement session towards the total for photographing your wedding.

Do you offer printing as well?

Yes, I do offer printing services. I am proud to say that I work closely with Bay Photo, a local company that has a great reputation and a massive selection of products such as postcards, albums, prints, canvases and so much more.
